Expeditions beyond Finland

An expedition scroll opens a separate temporary world. Go alone or with friends, complete an objective and bring your discoveries back to Finland.

Starting an expedition

  1. Find an expedition scroll in the landscape, a cache or a quest reward. It may name its destination or leave it unknown.
  2. Use the scroll to open the destination. Friends can join an open expedition with /expedition join <id>.
  3. Use /expedition status for the objective and instructions. Tasks include defending against enemies, gathering finds, puzzles and escorts.
  4. Return to Finland with /expedition leave. Carry everything you want to keep.

12 different biomes

Jungles, deserts and other destinations generate in separate worlds. New biome expeditions have a 100 × 100-block play area with empty space beyond the edge. They do not replace Finland’s terrain. Gather resources such as wood, saplings, plants, ice and coral.

Ruins and quest chains

Destinations include a fortress, abandoned mine, bunker and flooded temple. /quest shows your persistent quest-chain progress. Start a new chain with /quest start <type>; Tab completion lists the options.

Greenhouses for exotic plants

Exotic plants brought to Finland need a greenhouse to grow. Build a glass-walled, roofed enclosure around a blast furnace. Look at the furnace and use /greenhouse register. Check the structure from inside with /greenhouse inspect. Growth is slower than normal.
