The open beta is live
Join play.suomicraft.fi with Minecraft Java Edition 26.3. First-join guidance, accepting the rules and choosing a starting city are still part of onboarding.
Opening did not reset the world, player balances or build archives. Personal market, Build Library and travelbook actions still require your own sign-in link.
Emergency rescue now asks for confirmation
/sos no longer teleports you immediately. Confirm or cancel with the chat buttons within 30 seconds. /apua, /rescue and /pelastus also work.
Rescue is free once every 12 hours. The cooldown starts only after a successful return, not when you request or cancel it. It works in Finland, not during transit or expeditions. Use /expedition leave to return from an expedition.
Clearer build placement checks and height adjustment
Raise or lower a placement preview one block at a time, up to eight blocks from its initial reference height. Default entrance-height selection has been corrected; already placed builds are not automatically moved.
Reopen a closed menu by clicking the preview marker, including with an empty hand, or by clicking air with the same placement flag. The menu shows check progress and any obstruction. Empty corners no longer incorrectly block placement.
Rotation, height adjustments and rechecks do not charge markka or change the world. Step outside the target before final confirmation. Other players, animals and foreign builds are not removed to make room.
Move an archived build to a new location
Open your Build Library with /builds and request a placement flag for an archived build. The archive and removal from the original location must be verified first. The flag is owner-bound; giving it away does not transfer ownership.
Select suitable ground with the flag. A private preview shows the bounds and front direction; rotate in 90-degree steps. The cellar, containers and other archived contents move with the build. Protection, obstacles and terrain fit are checked before confirmation.
Ordinary placement costs 100 mk. The first restoration after automatic idle archiving retains its one-time free entitlement. A lost flag can be reissued for free. The archive is not permanently deleted.
Your travelbook brings your history together
/travelbook opens your private passport, timeline, fish and wildlife collections, discoveries, train routes, achievements and yearbook. /profile, /matkakirja and /passi also work. Do not share the sign-in link.
Add private notes and pin three memories to your passport. It also shows total mob kills and a breakdown by type. Tracking start dates are stated: missing past movement and kills have not been invented.
Share publishes only your selected snapshot for one hour, one day, three days or seven days. Showing your player name and place names is optional. Exact coordinates, balance and private notes are excluded, and you can revoke the link.
Permanent signs and a water-generation fix
Buy a permanent-sign permit from a station Deluxe Dealer for 1,000 mk. Choose a location and text, then submit through the station menu or Build Library. The sign is placed only after staff approval. Rejection or cancellation before placement refunds the charge.
Approved signs have no rent or idle expiry. Protection covers the sign and its base, not ownership of the surrounding land.
New water areas now seal gaps left between caves and the waterbed during terrain generation. Existing terrain, builds and archives are not rewritten for this change.
Nature halls and carriage-game rankings
All 23 stations now have nature halls with all-time and rolling 30-day fish records, species-collection rankings, wildlife sightings and nearby-water records. Personal menus show found and missing species. Selling or eating a catch does not remove its achievement.
Restaurant carriage games now share points and rounds-played rankings. My stats shows your totals; Reset mine removes only your game statistics after confirmation. Games remain free, and points cannot be exchanged for markka or items.
A post-login chat error that prevented messages from being sent has also been fixed.
Market deposit fee, collection and price comparisons
Depositing from your inventory into your market storage now costs 1 mk per stack, not per item. Only successful deposits are charged. Collection and listing already stored goods remain free; sales commission is still 3%. Existing deposits are not charged retrospectively.
Collection has been fixed: select Return to game in your browser, then press Return from market in the station MARKET menu in game. The button also picks up requests made after the menu opened. If a whole stack does not fit in your inventory, it stays in market storage.
Filter offers by item category and minimum or maximum whole-lot price. English/Finnish name search and sorting by price per item remain available.
Item cards and buy/publish confirmations show the lowest, highest and average completed unit prices. The comparison covers 30 days and up to the latest 1,000 trades for matching items. Asking prices do not affect these figures; a warning marks small samples.
Station service counters have moved against the walls, sign direction and visibility have been corrected, and market menus now have dedicated action icons. The personal in-game market link is also easier to spot in chat.
Use /market or /tori in game for a personal web sign-in link. Sessions last 15 minutes. Stay in game while buying, publishing listings or managing items.
In the web market, deposit and collect items at a station MARKET terminal. Use the browser to search by English or Finnish item names, compare prices and list your own stacks. There are 10 storage slots and 10 listing slots.
Prices cover the whole lot. Current fees: 1 mk per stack deposited from your inventory, free listing of stored goods, and 3% from the seller’s proceeds on a completed trade, rounded down to whole markka. Listing or session expiry does not delete your items.
Players start with 100 markka and two free train legs, once per player. Work Boards offer personal daily log, stone and fishing deliveries. Hold up to four accepted jobs, each with a 24-hour deadline.
Personal log delivery pays 32 mk, cobblestone delivery 24 mk and three self-caught fish 45 mk. Accept a job before gathering its goods. Deliver at any station; changing cities does not reset the job.
The basic materials buyer’s daily cap increased from 80 to 120 mk. The City Buyer and Farm, Mining and Building Supplies traders share a separate 250 mk daily cap. Both limits apply across the entire station network.
Stations have three new counters that both buy and sell: Farm, Mining and Building Supplies. They stock seeds, mining materials, glass, lanterns and decorative blocks.
Expedition rewards depend on the objective completed. Carriage games no longer stake or pay markka: they are free to play and their points are only a game score.
Expedition destinations and travel fixes
New biome expeditions use a 100 × 100-block play area containing the destination, objectives and return point, with empty space beyond the edge. Older active trips are not shrunk mid-expedition.
Arrival points, paths, biome selection and loot chests have been fixed. Underwater sites and village actor access were also checked.
Station booking and cancellation controls have been repaired. Recovery from travel, payment and build-archive errors has been strengthened, and Finnish in-game instructions have been clarified.
These updates did not reset the world, player balances or build archives.
Starting grant and beta fixes
Survival players receive a one-time 100-markka starting grant, nicknamed vappusatanen. Existing players are included; logging in again does not grant another payment.
Creating a travel scroll costs 100 mk; a memory scroll costs 150 mk. An old zero-cost travel-scroll setting has been corrected. Using a scroll has no additional fee.
Expedition objective instructions have been clarified. Safety checks for build protection, archives and item transfers have been fixed.
Connection and transfer errors in the starting lobby have been addressed.
New expedition worlds and caves
Expeditions now open in separate temporary worlds without changing Finland’s terrain. There are 12 biome themes alongside fortresses, mines and other objective sites.
Check your objective with /expedition status and return with /expedition leave. Carried items stay with you; items left in the expedition world do not.
New Finland terrain includes caves, underground water and rifts. Ores depend on depth below the local rock surface. Existing areas are not rewritten.
Build detection now distinguishes underground construction from ordinary mining more accurately. Tunnels or torches alone do not claim land.
Onboarding, station shops and rescue
First-join guidance has been rebuilt. Choose a language, read the guides, accept the rules and select your starting city. Buttons and signs guide you into the game.
Station materials buyers pay up to 80 mk per player per day across the whole network. Survival Supplies stocks food, torches and iron equipment.
/sos takes a player stuck in Finland to Helsinki station for free once every 12 hours. Expeditions and transit have their own travel restrictions.
Nights in Finland last about five minutes. Rain starts less often.
Still in progress
Build placement does not clear trees or bypass protection. Choose dry, sufficiently level, unobstructed ground. Permanently protected signs cannot be moved with ordinary placement flags.
Generating new terrain may take time. Gameplay systems and balance are being adjusted using testing feedback.
